I did something to my neck the other night in my sleep and it was sore for a few days...seems to be on the mend now, but I'm not making any sudden movements. I SO love my Kindle and find it very easy to download books from the library on to it! I have an iPad, but don't like reading on it due to the glare... Good luck!Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10368237913096460512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067654755156895804.post-87566797104631104022013-04-10T12:14:58.830-04:002013-04-10T12:14:58.830-04:00Oh Krista, I'm so sorry about your neck! The newest version is called, I believe, Nook HD and something else. I bought a Nook because I live close to B&N and won't have to ship it away if I have any repairs or need asssistance. B&N also offers free classes for the Nook.
That "Under the Dome" looks SO good!!
I hope you're feeling better soon!!
Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11297598468659688857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067654755156895804.post-39926835757512825562013-04-10T08:14:25.258-04:002013-04-10T08:14:25.258-04:00What a bummer! You couldn't have read "Love in the Time of Cholera" on an e-reader anyway, right? I don't think GGM's books are in e-book form. I really liked Love in the Time of Cholera, but am having a really tough time with 100 Years of Solitude. It's good but.... lol! As for e-readers -- I use my iPad. I have both the Kindle Reader app and the iBookstore on it, plus I can put any of those other readers on it too -- the Nook app is there, possibly even the Kobo. I think so. It's an expense, but I love my iPad. :D Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03646028248366805686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067654755156895804.post-36748098382310233482013-04-10T06:19:27.412-04:002013-04-10T06:19:27.412-04:00I agree Elaine - I have a Kindle, but I installed ...I agree Elaine - I have a Kindle, but I installed the apps for Kindle and Nook on my iPad and love using the iPad so much more than the Kindle!, I also check out ebooks from the county library - cant believe how many selections they offer and all for free!! :-)Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807266704220985470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067654755156895804.post-20958282646192617372013-04-10T06:16:38.478-04:002013-04-10T06:16:38.478-04:00Oh No! As someone who suffers with chronic back pain, I totally commiserate with your situation and sure hope you get relief FAST! Have you asked your dr about using a TENS unit! There is another device similar to a TENS which activates or stimulates the nerves, and I bet you could get some relief! You may want to see a neurologist since they specialize in this sort of thing.
I'm a huge Stephen King fan as well, but haven't read Under the Dome yet (but it's on my Kindle!!) Can't wait to hear your feedback on this one! Read Gabriel Garcia Marquez in college (One Hundred Years of Solitude) and enjoyed it, BUT that was in a class with a teacher explaining things! Have you tried the Game of Throne books by George RR Martin? Love those! Feel better! I can check email, look things up online as well as download Scrabble and a gizillion books!!Elainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05576522742755637290noreply@blogger.com
