Happy Tuesday everyone! I had planned to do my post last night but I was so busy stitching and just couldn't put it down! I was fortunate to have a long weekend with the holiday so it was quite productive stitching-wise. I hope that many of you were able to enjoy a long weekend too. I dedicated the time to Elizabeth Hancock and am happy with how far I have gotten...
I just love all these STARS!
Next I will be working on the lady and the house at the top. I am contemplating making the house pink ~ I have that John Mellancamp song 'Pink Houses' running around in my head ~ and have the lady in a red dress. Hmmmm, we will see :D
It is TUSAL time again, so here is my new pic for the new moon day.........
And Nicola is having a pet photo competition for funny positions our pets sleep in... so here is a pic of my Gigi and yes her eyes are open because it is just impossible to sneak up on her and take her pic! She always hears the camera. So maybe this pic won't count but for now it is the best one that I have to share.
It is great to see some new followers on my blog, thanks so much for visiting me! I will be visiting you soon if I haven't already. Thanks for all the great comments and support from everyone.
Have a FANTASTIC week! Happy stitching! xxxxxxxx
Beautiful start on Elizabeth! I like that Mellencamp song : ) It's hard to sneak up on Sophie too when she is sleeping : ) Blessings, Shirlee
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Shirlee. It really is a fun stitch! Enjoy your day.
DeleteYou are making wonderful progress, you must be enjoying her for your needles to fly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in my little competition, it's only a bit of fun and a way for us all to get to know each other a bit better. I think that it will be a good entry.
Thanks, Nicola! Yes, it is a really fun stitch with a lot of repetitive areas so I hardly had to look at the pattern. Thanks for using my pic of Gigi, it is a fun contest! :)
DeleteBeautiful stitches!! Too funny about not being able to sneak up on Gigi!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine! Yes, it is not easy to get pics of Gigi, by the time I am ready she is usually out of the frame! :)
DeleteKrista, I can't believe Blogger is finally letting me comment on your blog! I have tried to comment on your last several posts and the page would always disappear before I could do it. But I have been enjoying your blog, your Elizabeth Hancock sampler is looking really nice and Gigi is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, Thanks so much for visiting and commenting. Sorry it wasn't working right? I have that trouble sometimes too with other blogs, I think it was my internet explorer but not sure. Then all of a sudden things go back to normal. Who knows? Have a great day!
DeleteHI Krista, thank you for visiting my blog! I love your sampler, it's just beautiful. What a cute picture of Gigi, I know how difficult it can be to take photos of black cats, I have one too, although mine is easier to sneak up on lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sandra! Yes, Gigi can be difficult to get in pics, sometimes she just looks like a big black blob. LOL Have a great day!
DeleteGreat progress on Elizabeth Hancock! You are really moving along:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Brenda! Thanks for visiting and commenting. Havea a great day!
DeleteNice progress on Elizabeth! She's a beauty for sure! lol about Gigi. Looks like she's a real ham for the camera. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Margaret! It is a fun one. I think Gigi was just tired in this pic, usually she is far gone by the time I snap the pic! LOL
DeleteHow fun seeing Elizabeth is coming along so well! I know, I'm also having some challenges to keep up with my blog postings between what I do for needlework. I love to see how everyone else out there is doing on blogland, but it's not easy to catch up with my own blog some time. lol Say hi to Gigi from Ms. Limo who is snoring by me now... Sigh...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Merumo! Thanks for visiting and commenting, I know it can be hard to keep up on the computer but then we need time to stitch too! Gigi says hi to Ms. Limo =^..^= Have a great day!

DeleteOh yes, I know what it is like when you just can't put down a project. I'm experiencing the same right now and want to stitch on and an and on, lol. Elizabeth is coming along great.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It would be great to keep stitching instead of having to work all week LOL Have a great day! happy stitching!

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Marcy! I am still thinking about the pink house.. it may be red house and pink dress :) Have a great day!
DeleteLooking good. Love her verse. Cute cat! I'm coming up on win #34 in the verification game. I'm on a roll!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marly, and thanks for visiting. Sorry for the word verification, I didn't think it was turned on... I will go look to see how to turn it OFF! LOL Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteGreat progress, Krista. It looks lovely. :D
ReplyDeleteKrista, you're off to a great start with Elizabeth - it will be fun to watch her come to life!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs know that whenever the camera comes out, they're expected to do something adorable. While I appreciate the cooperation, it makes it hard to sneak up on them while they're snoozing!
Love it !!
