A Busy Stitching Week!

Thanks so much to all of you who have stopped by and commented on my new blog.  It has been fun reading all of your comments and seeing everyone's stitchings!

I finally put together my 2012 challenge list and will hope for the best!
I am still waiting on many supplies to arrive and Elizabeth Hancock has been delayed (oh no!!), but I have PLENTY to work on in the meantime!

It has been a BUSY week of stitching for me!  I had two more starts during the week...
I started one of my smaller projects, Small Sampler #1 from E&E&F.  I really enjoyed starting this one with the alphabet over one on 32 ct.....

and my Alessandra Adelaide 'Albero Della Neve'...sorry for the wrinkles!
I am doing this on 32 ct linen, using WDW Icicle and GAST Cidermill Brown. I swapped the threads out since I wanted a more wintery feel to it.  The pattern originally called for Chameleon Brand thread??  I could not find that anywhere.

This weekend has been another movie weekend for me... I love this time of year, the Oscar race is on!!  There are so many fantastic movies to see.  This weekend I saw Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (with my fave Daniel Craig :)), and Rooney Mara was unbelievable!  I think they did a good job of staying in line with the book for the most part, there was so much to cover in that book.

And, I also spent my weekend working on Mary.  I am happy to get in another three motifs, it is really such a colorful design.  I love it!!

Thanks again for stopping by!  I wish you all a wonderful week of stitching!!

Beautiful projects, Krista! Nice progress on MW!

I thought Rooney Mara was fantastic in Dragon, too. The sex bits--oh my!! I never realized just how much I skim the sex bits in books until I saw that movie. LOL

Love your small sampler project :)

I haven't seen Girl With the Dragon Tatoo yet, I wanted too but have heard mixed things so I'm no sure. I recently (last month) read the book, loved it and then saw the Swedish version (original movie) which was really good too. I always try to watch all the Oscar nominated movies each year and then pick my personal winner and normally it's the same as the winner! LOL

Your Kitty Cat looks just like my black cat, Ben. I love Black cats :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Hi Krista! The new blog looks great. I'm looking forward to the next post. I love the patterns that you've shared with us. The small sampler is adorable and Mary looks wonderful. Your substitutions for 'Albero Della Neve' are going to be beautiful. I see we share many of the same patterns for completion in 2012. It will be fun sharing our finishes.

My goodness you've been busy! Beautiful work; I especially like your Mary. Very pretty! Where in CT are you? I'm from CT and now live just over the border in Granville, MA, which is right over the Granby, CT line. Are you nearby?

Oh, I love your two new starts! The blue linen for the Allesandra Adelaide piece and your choice of fibers is gorgeous! Love Mary too, of course. I don't tend to see movies in theaters these days -- just wait for them to come out on DVD. So I'm behind the times. lol!
